Best mate - a tribute

A tribute to Best Mate, a truly wonderful and courageous horse, written by his trainer Henrietta Knight.

A couple of days previous to Best Mates death a wonderful young pony on our yard had to be put to sleep after suffering a broken leg. Iggy was one of the most handsome, polite and kind horses I have ever met. At the tender age of 2 he had an extremely promising life ahead of him.

At times like these you realise how precious every minute of a horses life is but after the extreme joy they give us there will always be a time to say goodbye and for them leave us and run free on Rainbow Bridge.

Rest In Peace Best Mate and Iggy.
